Cookie and storage policy

Essential — always active

• Supabase auth session (local storage) — keeps you signed in. Cleared when you sign out.
• chordbento-lang (cookie, 1 year) — your interface language. Stored as a cookie so the server can render the page in the right language and text direction before any script runs.
• chordbento_consent (cookie, 1 year) — a single digit recording whether you allowed usage measurement.
• chordbento_consent_v1 (local storage) — the full record of your consent choice and when you made it.
• chordbento.a11y (local storage) — text size, contrast, link underline and motion settings.
• chordbento.pedalBindings (local storage) — your keyboard and pedal shortcuts.

Optional — only with your consent

• Error monitoring — sends the page address and a technical stack trace to the development platform when the app crashes. Off by default.
• Usage measurement — aggregated statistics about which features get used. Nothing is collected today; the switch exists so that nothing can be added later without your agreement. Off by default.

Third-party requests

Loading a page contacts no one but us. Fonts, styles, scripts and images are all served from this domain, so no third party sees your IP address simply because you opened the site.

Once you are using the app, it talks to Supabase to load and save your content. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google necessarily learns that you signed in to this service.

Changing or withdrawing consent

Use the Privacy preferences link at the bottom of any page. Rejecting is always as easy as accepting: closing the banner with Escape or the X counts as a refusal, and nothing optional runs until you actively allow it. We ask again once a year, or sooner if this policy changes.

Browser-level controls

You can clear or block this storage in your browser settings at any time. Clearing the essential items will sign you out and reset your preferences, but will not delete anything from your account.
